Pictures from Immigration Rallies that will Melt your Heart

Over the past year, immigration rallies have been held all over the country. As President Trump pushes for changes that threaten dreamers, or that put immigrants at risk of deportation and as he implements travel bans, rallies have grown in strength and sheer numbers. People are joining together to demonstrate their hope for inclusion, strength and united families.

Young children, of many different nationalities, have joined forces to make a statement and advocate for themselves and their families. These kids are determined to make a difference in the world and you can feel the hope and determination beaming from them. These precious photos from immigration rallies around the country are sure to melt your heart and inspire you to join in the movement.

When Los Angeles resident Sophie Cruz was 5 years old she stormed a parade in hopes of sharing a letter with the Pope depicting her thoughts on immigration. After one failed attempt, the Pope waved Sophie to his vehicle. After a shared hug, she shared her picture and words reflecting equality and supporting immigration. Since then, Sophie has become an immigration advocate and is known across the community by many as a little girl with an open heart and a brave voice. She continues to speak at immigration rallies across the country.

Every parent wants so much more for their children. Such is true with those that immigrate to the U.S. Every generation is lifted up by the shoulders of those that came before. This picture symbolizes that progression beautifully. A father raises his son upon his shoulders and shows him the opportunities that lay in store for him and the courage needed to stand up for the rights of those seeking a better life.
