How long will it take?
One of the questions I get from people is this: After I hire you, and when you have filed a lawsuit against the consulate, how long is it going to take to get my Visa approved? I’ve been waiting for a long time. And if I hire you how much longer am I going to have to wait?
Typically, the Visas are approved within about 6 to 12 weeks. I’ve had cases where I file a lawsuit and it’s approved in less than six weeks, and I’ve had cases where I filed a lawsuit and it’s taken more than 12 weeks to get it approved. But most of the cases that I work on get resolved within 6 to 12 weeks.
Here’s another question I got from a prospective client: What happens if the Visa is not issued within 6 to 12 weeks?
No guarantee
Well, I have a few reactions to that. First of all, there’s absolutely no guarantee that your Visa is going to be approved. Anytime you hire a lawyer, the outcome is a little bit uncertain and the same is true for me.
I do my best to do everything I can to make sure your case will be approved, and I’ve had overwhelming success with these cases. And every time I take on a case, I believe that I will win the case, but there’s no guarantee. So there’s no guarantee that your Visa will be approved.
If you don’t deserve to be approved, a mandamus lawsuit is not going to make your bad case approvable. You’re not going to be approved just because you file a mandamus. So first of all, there’s no guarantee.
The timeline is an estimate
Secondly, the 6 to 12 week processing time that I have is an estimate. It doesn’t mean that I can guarantee you that your Visa will be approved within 6 to 12 weeks.
Most people who hire me get their visas approved, and most people who hire me get their visas approved within 6 to 12 weeks if not sooner. But I certainly can’t guarantee that you’ll be approved, or that you’ll be approved within a specific period of time. These are just estimates. This is how I feel that things are going to go but these timelines are estimates only.
