The Cost of a Mandamus Lawsuit Varies
The key question I get from people is, “Well, how much do you charge? How much is it?” The answer is that it depends. Before I can give you a writ of mandamus fee quote, I want to talk to you first because before I can tell you exactly how much I would charge you, I need a little more detail. I have a number of questions that I want to go through so I can learn more about your situation and see if you’re a good candidate for the solution that I have.
I need to know the specifics of what’s going on, such as:
- Which consulate is sitting on your visa.
- How long you have been waiting.
- What type of visa it is.
- How long the process has been taking.
- Whether there’s any additional information that the consul has been asking for.
- If you are dealing with a 221(g)
- If you have gotten stuck in the background check process.

Many of my clients are located in other parts of the country or even in other parts of the world. We could meet face to face in my office too, of course. We have offices in Los Angeles and Boston. Do you charge hourly for your legal services?
The fee that I charge is a flat fee. It’s a fixed price. It covers all the work associated with the case.
Are there any other costs besides legal fees?
In addition to my fee, there is a $402 fee for the court, a filing fee.
