How Long Does It Take To Get Your Visa Out Of Administrative Processing?
How long does it take to get your visa out of administrative processing after you hire me and after you file a writ of mandamus lawsuit?

The key question
The question people always ask me is, “Well, I’ve been waiting for a really long time,” or “I’ve been waiting for 90 days (or a year or two years or three years). My visa’s been stuck in administrative processing. It seems so hopeless. If I hire you and you take action, how much longer am I going to have to wait?” They want to know exactly how long they’re going to have to wait.
This is a question that everyone asks me because the nature of the problem is all about delay. You want to be in the United States, so you can pursue your Ph.D., or you can be with your wife or your husband or be back together with your family, or be with your children. Administrative processing is the obstacle that’s holding you back. And my job is to try to get my clients’ visas issued, and get the administrative processing cleared up as quickly as possible.
How long does it usually take?
But the question they ask me is, “Well, how long is this going to take?” The answer is, of course, that I can’t predict with 100% certainty exactly how long anything will take. But my experience has been that most of the visas are issued within 6-12 weeks after I file a writ of mandamus lawsuit.
Again, let me repeat that. Once I file a mandamus lawsuit against a visa delay for administrative processing, most of my clients get their visas within 6-12 weeks. That’s 6 to 12 weeks after waiting for so long.
Is there a guarantee?
Does that mean that if you hire me, you’re going to get your visa within 6-12 weeks? I hope so, but there are no guarantees with any legal matter. There’s no guarantee that you’re going to get your visa. There is no guarantee that if you hire me, you’re going to get your visa within a certain period of time. But for most people, for most cases, the visas are issued in about 6-12 weeks. That’s the answer. That’s the estimate that I give to all my clients.
